The First Steps
What is involved in the assessment process?
Once contact has been made with us, via phone, email, or website, we will arrange a suitable time with you for a call from our Clinical Directors for an initial assessment. Our team has extensive experience in this part of the process and is able to gain a greater understanding of your needs, or the needs of your loved one, through a confidential discussion. Following the completion of this assessment, and both parties agreeing that Raindrum can provide the necessary and appropriate care, a recommended course of action will be provided. Once agreed upon, our team will provide a detailed proposal including treatment itinerary, accommodation options, proposed start dates and cost schedule. Should the Clinical Directors determine Raindrum is not appropriate for your needs, a referral will be made to a more suitable provider.
The Programs
How is the program set?
Following a detailed introductory consultation, Raindrum’s Clinical Directors work with each client to establish clear objectives and customise a program designed to achieve those objectives.
No two patients are the same, and no two programs will be the same. However, they will all consist of a combination of treatments including Medical, Psychological, Physical, Nutritional and Experiential.
How long do the programs run?
Every program is unique. However, generally, we recommend no less than 30 days for addiction and dependency treatments. The length of other programs can be tailored to the client, from less than a week to 30 days or more.
Do you offer group programs?
While we do offer some programs to small groups, for acute care such as dependency treatments, we believe in highly individualised care that operates outside of a group scenario. In this case, treatment is presented one-to-one. All accommodation is private, and all treatment programs are personalised.
I will need 24-hour care, is that possible?
Absolutely. Raindrum has nurses and doctors on hand to provide medical care around the clock, for as long as it is needed.
The Accommodation
Are all services delivered in the Northern Rivers?
Yes, the Northern Rivers is our preferred location.
What are the accommodation options?
Raindrum has access to some of Byron Bay and surrounds' most sought-after properties. From exclusive beachside homes, to hinterland retreats, or accommodation at one of the local five-star resorts, our team will work with you to choose the most appropriate accommodation for your needs and dependent on availability.
Can I pick the house?
Raindrum will work with you to provide the right accommodation. However, our team will also have input to ensure the most suitable accommodation is provided to you dependent on cost schedule and availability.
Who arranges transport?
Raindrum can assist you with all local transport. Please ask our team about national, or international, travel arrangements, which may be subject to travel restrictions.
How do I get to Byron Bay/Northern Rivers?
There is an airport at Ballina, which is 30 minutes' south of Byron Bay. While this isn’t an international airport, it connects with all major Australian cities. Alternatively, the Gold Coast Airport is one hour north of Byron Bay, and offers some international services and increased domestic routes.
